Today, we will talk about the UAE's help to Gaza. 

In a heartwarming display of compassion and solidarity, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken a significant step towards healing the wounds of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. News has surfaced that the UAE is setting up a 150-bed field hospital in the beleaguered region, a beacon of hope amidst the challenging times faced by the people of Gaza.

Five aircraft recently embarked from Abu Dhabi to Arish in northern Egypt, carrying not just medical equipment but a message of support and care. This initiative comes in response to the devastating toll of the war between Israel and Hamas, which has tragically claimed over 10,000 lives, according to reports from the Hamas-run health ministry.

The field hospital, soon to stand as a symbol of healing, will offer a range of medical facilities, including anesthetics and surgery, gynecology, and intensive care units catering to both children and adults. This comprehensive approach reflects the UAE's commitment to addressing the diverse healthcare needs arising from the conflict.

The situation in Gaza is critical, with health facilities overwhelmed and medical stocks dwindling. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reports that many hospitals have ceased functioning, and primary care facilities across Gaza are shutting down due to damage or lack of fuel. The field hospital from the UAE arrived in a timely response to this urgent need.

The ongoing conflict, which erupted in early October, has brought immense suffering to the people of Gaza. It's heartening to witness the UAE extending a hand of friendship and empathy, transcending borders and geopolitical considerations to provide essential healthcare support.

The UAE's decision to establish ties with Israel, breaking from traditional norms in the Arab world, has paved the way for collaborative efforts in times of crisis.
