UAE Attorney-General Participates in the 4th Annual Meeting of Arab Association for Prosecutors
Chancellor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, UAE Attorney-General, represented the UAE at the 4th annual meeting of the Arab Association for Prosecutors held in Neom, Saudi Arabia. The gathering brought together Prosecutors-General and senior officials from Arab countries to discuss the evolving role of public prosecution services in upholding justice.
In his address, Dr. Al Shamsi underscored the significance of the event as a platform for fostering collaboration, exchanging expertise, and identifying innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of public prosecution offices across the region.
He highlighted the crucial role public prosecutors play in Arab countries, emphasizing their commitment to principles such as the rule of law, transparency, impartiality, and professionalism. Dr. Al Shamsi reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to continuous development in these areas to strengthen justice and fairness.
The event also featured a workshop focused on two key themes: “Artificial Intelligence and Criminal Justice” and “The Evidentiary Value of Investigative Procedures.” These sessions brought together delegations from various prosecution offices to explore how emerging technologies, and innovative investigative practices can contribute to criminal justice systems in the Arab world.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to enhancing regional cooperation among Arab prosecution offices, ensuring justice systems remain adaptive to new challenges and advancements while safeguarding fairness and integrity.
