WHAT DINA THINKS: Magnus by Kintsugi, UAE's Military Mobility

Hi expats and tech nerds!

Abu Dhabi's tech startup, Kintsugi, is flexing its innovative muscles with the introduction of Magnus, a 'Made in UAE' AI-powered hybrid vehicle designed specifically for military operations. As the star of the show at the largest Unmanned Systems (Umex) and Simulation and Training (SimTex) exhibitions, Magnus is more than just a vehicle; it's a testament to the UAE's relentless pursuit of excellence in electric mobility for defense.

Magnus, a six-seater 4X4 marvel, is not your average military vehicle. Boasting an impressive array of features, including an autonomous vehicle stack, six drones, and a powerful 805 HP electric motor, it's a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. With a top speed of 130kmph, a driving range of 200km (electric) to 800km (hybrid), and a massive payload capacity of 2,000kg, Magnus is a game-changer in the world of military technology.

Waleed Al Blooshi, the corporate communications manager of Kintsugi Holdings, proudly emphasized the company's commitment to innovation, stating, "Kintsugi is a new but leading UAE Government AI company, which is finding innovative solutions for private and public sectors."

The Magnus experience begins as its fully armored doors swing open like a chopper, revealing exoskeleton-crafted seats and a command center on wheels. The vehicle is meticulously designed for tactical operations, providing a seamless blend of protection, mobility, and cutting-edge technology. Its advanced composite materials offer full underbody level-II ballistic and mine protection, ensuring it can navigate the harshest and most challenging environments with ease.

As Al Blooshi unveiled Magnus to the public, he emphasized its role in military missions, stating, "Magnus has been made for tactical operations, including military and national security purposes." The vehicle's deployable ramp, smart consoles, and rapid drone launch capabilities make it a crucial asset for precise troop operations and superior crossfire protection.

What sets Magnus apart is not just its formidable physical presence but its vision for the future. Al Blooshi revealed that plans are in motion to introduce a street-legal version named Magnum by 2025. Designed for commercial use, Magnum will bring the cutting-edge technology of Magnus to the general public, marking a significant step towards a faster, smarter, and greener tomorrow.

In conclusion, Kintsugi's Magnus is a bold stride towards redefining military mobility, not just for the UAE but on a global scale. Its fusion of AI, electric power, and futuristic design showcases the nation's commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements. As we eagerly await the arrival of Magnum in 2025, it's clear that Kintsugi is not just building vehicles; they're crafting a legacy of innovation that will resonate far beyond the exhibition halls.
