WHAT DINA THINKS: ‘Gaza In Our Hearts’ Campaign

Hello expats! Some good news this Hag al Layla season.

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, Dubai Cares collaborated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications to launch ‘Gaza In Our Hearts’. This campaign will extend a helping hand to the people of Gaza who are facing immense challenges, providing them with vital aid such as meals, food baskets, and sturdy tents. In partnership with Anera (American Near East Refugee Aid), Dubai Cares is striving to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by hardship.Leading ‘Gaza In Our Hearts’ is Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, CEO of Dubai Cares, whose mission of community engagement and empowerment shines through. By inviting people like you and me, from all walks of life to participate in this initiative, Dr. Al Gurg is serving as a platform of responsibility and solidarity within the community. Through this action, we can make a HUGE impact on the lives of Gazans.Under the leadership of Sean C. Carroll, President and CEO of Anera, Dubai Cares, and its partners are delivering tangible results on the ground. With about 20 million meals already distributed in Gaza, and plans to deliver even more during the holy month of Ramadan, Anera’s dedication deserves commendation. Through partnerships and the generous support of the UAE leaders and its community, Anera is ensuring that every donation reaches those who need it most, providing much-needed relief to individuals and families in Gaza.

How You Can Help:
The success of ‘Gaza In Our Hearts’ relies on the collective efforts of individuals like you. Whether through text donations, online contributions, or spreading awareness on social media, there are countless ways to get involved. Every donation, no matter how small, has the power to make a difference in the lives of those affected by crisis. By coming together as a global community, we can create positive change and uplift those in need during this holy month of Ramadan. While the focus is on extending support to those in Gaza, recent events at Toshka Cafeteria in Abu Dhabi serve as a reminder of the importance of food safety. The swift action taken by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority underscores the UAE’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of health and hygiene. By prioritizing food safety in our communities, we can ensure the well-being of all individuals and contribute to a healthier society overall.Let us remember the words of Dr. Tariq Al Gurg: “Through ‘Gaza In Our Hearts’, we have the opportunity to unite and respond to this urgent need with a sense of responsibility and empowerment.” This initiative will garner more help from the UAE residents to the people of Gaza. I encourage everyone to participate in this mission, especially as Ramadan approaches. Let’s share our blessings to our brothers and sisters.
